OVERVIEW:
• Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
• Attend police stations and represent clients at the Magistrates’ Court
• Assist with Crown Court cases where appropriate
• Participate in the duty rota, including out of hours work
• Work closely with experienced colleagues on case preparation
• Deliver high quality, timely and robust legal advice to clients
• Qualified Solicitor with current Duty Accreditation (essential)
• Experience handling criminal matters (during training or post-qualification)
• Confident attending police stations and representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Commitment to excellent client care and professional standards
• Willing to participate in the out of hours duty rota
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Well established practice with a strong reputation in criminal defence
