JOB TITLE: Family Solicitor                   
PQE REQUIRED: 5+       
LOCATION: Tyne and Wear                 
SALARY: £40,000+ (DOE)            

OVERVIEW:
• Lead and develop the firm’s family law department.
• Manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, including: Divorce, financial remedy work, private children matters, cohabitation disputes and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
• Work independently while delivering clear, commercially sound advice.
• Maintain the highest standards of client care.
• Contribute to business development and build strong local relationships.
• Generate new instructions for the growing practice.
• Mentor and support an enthusiastic NQ, ensuring consistent quality and development.
• Minimum of 5 years’ PQE in family law.
• Proven experience handling a broad range of privately funded family matters.
• Confident managing a full caseload independently.
• Commercially aware with excellent client care skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Proactive, motivated, and able to take ownership of a growing department.
