Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Medical Malpractice), 1+ Years PQE, Birmingham, £50,000+ (DOE) - Whether you're in the early stages of your career or an experienced litigator looking for your next challenge, this role offers high-quality work, real responsibility, and a supportive environment to grow and thrive. THE ROLE:
• Manage your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims (varied in value and complexity), from first notification to trial
• Assist partners on more complex matters
• Liaise closely with insurer clients, brokers, the NHS, witnesses, experts and counsel
• Draft key legal documents, reports and action plans
• Attend hearings, conferences and Joint Settlement Meetings (JSMs), subject to client approval
• Keep up to date with legal developments in healthcare law
• Contribute to business development and client training initiatives

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from solicitors with a minimum of 1 Years PQE
• Experience handling defendant clinical negligence claims (e.g. via NHSR or insurer instruction)
• Sound understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, clinical disputes pre-action protocol, and relevant case law
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, and tactical skills
• A team player with a positive, proactive mindset and excellent communication skills
