Job Description
Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for a new challenge? Join our clients team and contribute to the success and profitability of their business by delivering professional and efficient service to customers. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to maintain, service, and repair air compressors and ancillary equipment in Stoke and surrounding territories.
Key Responsibilities of this Field Service Engineer role:
- Perform prompt and efficient servicing and maintenance on customer machines.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on equipment both in the field and workshop.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and commission new equipment.
- Install new equipment and pipework at customer sites.
- Identify and order necessary parts for repairs.
- Complete and submit accurate job reports in a timely manner.
- Plan and organize daily and weekly visit schedules if required.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency support.
- Maintain tools and test instruments to ensure they remain in good working condition.
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required.
You should have hands-on experience with some or all of the following equipment:
- Compressors
- Dryers
- Nitrogen (N2) Systems
- Pumps
- Pipework
- Current experience in repairing, servicing, and installing the relevant equipment.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Previous mechanical or electrical service experience.
- Mechanical or electrical qualification. Although, we understand you might be qualified by experience
- Flexibility to participate in the call out rota
- Computer literacy, can learn new systems.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations for customer site visits.
- Additional training from the Technical support team, throughout your career
- Technical support during complex diagnostics
- You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone to keep you connected whilst out in the field
