Mail Sorter - Nights

Mail sorters required for full time night shift work in Severn Beach – BS35 – Start ASAP, work ongoing until January 2025. The festive season is Royal Mail’s busiest time of the year, and it’s their seasonal workers who make delivering the magic of Christmas possible!

• Night shift – 10pm – 6am, 5 days out of 7
• £17.44 per hour (pay rate applies from 28/10/2024 – 12/01/2025)
• Pay rate outside of seasonal peak - £15.11 per hour
• Overtime rate paid after 40 hours worked
• Free parking on site, accessible by bus 10 or 12, 1 mile from Severn Beach train station
• Full PPE and full training are provided

About the job

• Unloading mail and packages from vans or lorries
• Moving mail and packages through the distribution centre
• Helping to sort letters and parcels

The right candidate

• Good communication skills
• Able to push trolleys (up to 250kg) and lift/move mail bags (up to 11kg)
• Comfortable with extended periods of walking and standing
• Happy to consent to criminal record check (Basic DBS) prior to starting work, paid for by Pertemps
