Tax Senior
Location: Exeter (Hybrid and Flexible Working Available)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced tax professional seeking the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Senior to join a growing and dynamic Tax Compliance team in Exeter.

This newly created position offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and gain valuable exposure to complex compliance matters, including international tax issues, residence and domicile considerations, and trust taxation.

Whether you’re ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA, or qualified by experience, this role offers a supportive and flexible environment where your expertise and growth will be fully supported.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a full range of tax services in line with legal requirements, within budget and deadlines
  • Work on complex cases involving statutory residence tests, non-domiciled clients, and the remittance basis
  • Analyse double tax treaties and advise clients on foreign income and gains
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts
  • Stay up to date with tax legislation and brief colleagues and clients as needed
  • Identify and manage tax risk
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards
  • Assist Partners and Managers with general administrative and project support
 

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally bring the following skills and experience:

  • Several years’ tax experience in a practice-based setting
  • ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA, or qualified by experience
  • Excellent knowledge of tax and compliance return preparation
  • Strong technical understanding across a broad range of taxes
  • Confident communicator and effective report writer
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Discreet and professional, with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
