Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead and drive efficiency, innovation, and quality at a state-of-the-art facility near Penrith.

The Role:
As the Plant Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our production processes, ensuring operational excellence, team engagement, and adherence to safety and quality standards. You’ll lead a dedicated team, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure that they continue to deliver on their promise of quality fresh food to their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Manage and optimise day-to-day plant operations, ensuring efficient production schedules, resource allocation, and adherence to KPIs.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse and skilled workforce, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality, food safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by upholding health and safety standards and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control operational budgets to ensure cost-effective processes while maintaining high standards.
- Proven experience as a Operations Manager, ideally within the fresh food or FMCG sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a multidisciplinary team.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, quality assurance, and health & safety practices.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and achieving operational targets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- A commitment to sustainability and ethical production practices.
