HGV Class 1 Driver Days

Pertemps has fantastic opportunities for Class 1 C+E Drivers at GXO in Newark., you can count on steady work, great pay, and the flexibility you need to balance your life.

The operation runs every day of the week, so we can offer work on the days that suit you! 

Enjoy excellent pay rates starting at £18.19ph (PM shifts) with even more for weekends (£20.23hr on Saturdays, £21.25/hr on Sundays). This role offers ongoing assignments all year round, with the freedom to choose full-time or part-time hours and select your preferred start time window (normally 4 hrs) between 03:00 – 12:00 

You'll also get 28 days of paid holiday per year (for full-time drivers) plus, enjoy the convenience of paperless timesheets and the option for weekly or monthly payments – you choose!

To get started, you'll need to complete a quick Class 1 site assessment (which is paid upon completion). This takes 8 hours and includes a multiple-choice questionnaire, a pre-check and coupling-up session, a driving assessment, and a classroom-based induction.

You must have a Class 1 C+E license (HGV 1) a minimum of 12 months commercial experience, a Digital Tachograph Card, and a CPC qualification. We're looking for drivers with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points, no DR10, CD10, or IN10), and you must be 21 years old or older.
