Skilled Vehicle Mechanic

Location: East Lothian
Salary: £15.49 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced HGV mechanic to ensure our fleet of heavy goods vehicles operates safely and efficiently.

What you'll do:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults specific to HGVs.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT tests.
• Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic equipment effectively.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as an HGV mechanic or technician.
• Strong understanding of HGV mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management.
• Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, are highly desirable.
• Valid HGV license essential.
