Permanent, full-time
Mon-Thurs: 8:30am-5:00pm | Fri: 8:30am-4:30pm

Are you a confident and experienced Health & Safety professional ready to take the lead in a fast-paced environment? Our client, a well-established and reputable business based in Dudley, is urgently seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to oversee and enhance all aspects of their health, safety, and environmental systems.

The Role:
You will be the go-to expert on Health & Safety legislation, working closely with managers and teams to ensure full compliance across the business. This is a hands-on role that combines strategy with day-to-day operations, where your input will directly impact safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clear and practical advice on Health & Safety legislation to all staff
• Keep the business compliant with all regulatory requirements and updates
• Implement and maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work
• Develop and deliver internal training for all shopfloor roles
• Oversee and ensure all Health & Safety training is up to date
• Coordinate external training where necessary
• Manage contractor compliance and competency checks
• Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015
• Represent the business to auditors, customers, and regulatory bodies
• Lead internal audits and reviews, and manage corrective action plans
• Support the implementation of EHS systems across multiple sites
• Deliver EHS induction training for new starters
• Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture across all teams
• Oversee the reporting and investigation of all incidents and near misses
• Support disciplinary actions relating to safety breaches

What We're Looking For:
• Proven experience in a Health & Safety advisory or co-ordinator role
• NEBOSH General Certificate is essential
• Experience within manufacturing, production, or logistics environments
• Sound knowledge of HSE and environmental regulations
• Audit experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication, training, and leadership skills
• Friendly, approachable, personable character with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
