Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver Pay: £12.75

An established, family-owned manufacturing business is seeking a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join a small, close-knit warehouse team. 

The ideal candidate will be proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Following written procedures for safe working and standard operating practices
• Order picking from an 8,000 sq ft warehouse (approx. 200 picks per day)
• Booking in stock and putting stock away
• Transporting stock between manufacturing and warehouse facilities
• Stock taking and inventory control
• Re boxing and weighing smaller orders
• Booking in returned products
• Maintaining high standards of warehouse housekeeping
• Goods inwards, including unloading and putting away raw materials

Requirements

• Valid forklift licence – Reach and Counterbalance (essential)
• Forklift licence – VNA (preferred)
• Full, clean driving licence (essential)
• Experience in fast-moving warehouse environments
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexible approach to business needs
• Excellent command of the English language
• Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision
• Courteous and professional when dealing with customers

Additional Information

• Initial interviews will be face to face, including a site tour
• Second-stage interviews will include a competency test (van and forklift driving)
• Uniform provided after qualifying period
• Long-term opportunity with temp-to-perm progression
