Company Overview:
Our client is a leading engineering firm specializing in high-performance components for the motorsport industry. We support top-tier motorsport teams across a range of disciplines including Track Endurance and Rally. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing team.

Role Overview:
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to manufacture complex, high-precision components for motorsport applications. You will work from technical drawings and CAD models, ensuring tight tolerances and top-quality finishes are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines (3, 4, or 5 axis depending on experience).

  • Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and specifications.

  • Machine one-off and small batch components in a variety of high-performance materials (e.g. titanium, aluminium, Inconel).

  • Ensure all parts meet strict quality standards through self-inspection and use of precision measuring equipment.

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize component manufacture.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven CNC machining experience, ideally in the motorsport, aerospace, or precision engineering sectors.

  • Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak controls (depending on machines used).

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

  • Flexibility to work shifts and occasional overtime during peak production periods.

Desirable:

  • Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Manufacture or similar qualification.

  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Hyper Mill, Mastercam).
