Are you a dedicated and qualified English Teacher with a passion for literature and language? We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher to join our secondary school in Newport. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ignite a love for English and empower students to excel in their language and literary skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the individual needs of students.
• Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for English literature.
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Prepare students for assessments and examinations, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for success.
• Instill a passion for reading and writing among students, nurturing their linguistic talents.

 
Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the English curriculum.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Dedication to cultivating students' language and literary skills and a genuine passion for the subject.

Working Hours:

• This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, following the school's operating hours.
